Endpoint Security Companies in the UK: 400+ Active Firms (2026)
Endpoint security companies in the UK protect workplace devices, servers and mobile endpoints from malware, intrusion and data loss.
Buying centres tend to sit with security operations, IT infrastructure, risk and procurement teams rather than an individual software owner. Sellers usually face B2B and public-sector evaluation cycles, with proof-of-value work around malware prevention, intrusion detection, device hardening, threat monitoring and incident response. Engagements tend to split between product subscriptions, managed monitoring, response retainers and implementation projects that have to fit an existing stack. Typical buyer types are mid-market and enterprise organisations with dispersed device estates, formal compliance workloads and enough internal IT capacity to act on alerts.
The UK cohort contains 466 actively trading endpoint security companies, making it a specialist slice of the cyber market rather than a general software list. Reported employment across these firms totals 1,825 people, so the footprint looks weighted towards specialist providers rather than labour-intensive services groups. That is consistent with a market where product engineering, threat research, support and channel sales sit alongside managed-service delivery, and where many suppliers sell into existing security stacks rather than replacing every control at once.
Endpoint security sits in the part of cyber where regulation is mostly indirect. Buyers usually care less about a licence to operate and more about auditability, evidence retention, access controls and response processes that help them meet privacy, outsourcing and sector-specific risk obligations. Public-sector customers add procurement controls, security questionnaires and assurance requirements, while enterprise buyers tend to test integration with identity, device-management and logging systems. Market structure therefore favours suppliers that can document control coverage and support incident workflows, not only vendors with prevention technology.
Demand appears tied to buyers needing prevention, monitoring and response across workplace devices without multiplying operational workload. The cohort appears to contain many specialist providers and relatively few larger-revenue operators, so sales motions are likely to stay evidence-led: pilots, assurance reviews and integration checks before broader deployment. Consolidation may come through services-led buyers and platform-adjacent cyber groups, although specialist endpoint teams can remain relevant where device hardening, forensic response or data-loss reduction are hard to fold into generic tooling.

Key facts
About 4% of the trading cohort reports turnover above £5M (23 of 466 firms) — the rest sits below that revenue band.
7% of the cohort was incorporated since 2022 (34 firms), so a sizeable share is in its first few filing cycles.
Endpoint security vendors sit close to everyday business equipment, covering workplace devices, servers and mobile endpoints rather than only perimeter network controls.
Typical buyers include IT teams, managed-service providers, insurers and internal security teams assessing operational risk.
Go-to-market patterns tend to split between service-led security providers and leaner software-oriented firms selling device protection and monitoring.

How UK endpoint security companies work and how to sell to them
What they do
Endpoint security firms usually earn revenue from annual or multi-year subscriptions for endpoint protection, detection and response, plus managed monitoring, incident-response retainers, onboarding and policy-tuning work. Pricing is typically per device, per user or per server, sometimes with tiers for threat hunting, forensic support, data-loss controls and reporting. Larger customers expect proof-of-value exercises before committing, because the product has to coexist with identity, device-management, logging and service-desk tooling. Smaller specialist providers may combine software IP with analyst time, so gross margin and delivery capacity depend on how much alert triage and response work remains manual.
Who they sell to
They sell mostly to mid-market, enterprise and public-sector organisations with distributed workforces, regulated operations or a history of security audit pressure. The economic buyer is often a CISO, CIO or IT director, with security operations, infrastructure engineering and procurement shaping the evaluation. CFO and risk teams become more visible where the purchase is tied to cyber insurance, audit findings or outsourcing controls. Typical sales cycles are measured in months rather than days: technical validation, false-positive testing, integration checks, legal review and procurement approval. Route to market is mixed, with direct sales for larger accounts, partner-led resale or managed-service routes for smaller estates, and public-sector frameworks where assurance evidence is mandatory.
What they buy
Endpoint security firms tend to spend on cloud infrastructure, telemetry storage, malware analysis environments, secure development tooling, vulnerability management, code review, penetration testing and compliance support. Commercial teams also need CRM, quoting, billing, customer success, partner-management and helpdesk systems, especially where renewals and channel sales matter. Services spend often clusters around technical recruitment, security-cleared contracting, legal review for enterprise terms, cyber insurance, certification support and content marketing aimed at risk-aware buyers. Suppliers with managed monitoring or response retainers may also buy workflow tooling for case management, rota planning, knowledge bases and evidence capture.
Why and how to sell to them
Commercial intent is easiest to spot around scale events: a new sales leader, public-sector tendering, a move upmarket, support headcount growth or a recent incident-response push. With 23 firms above £5M revenue, many remain cost-sensitive and will challenge tools that create extra analyst work. Useful angles tend to be operational rather than generic security claims: shorter evidence packs for enterprise questionnaires, cleaner renewal reporting, fewer hand-offs between sales and delivery, or faster onboarding for new customer estates. Outreach works better when it maps to the firm’s delivery model, distinguishing subscription software providers from service-heavy monitoring and response teams.
How this list is built
Data sources
This list is built from UK Companies House filings, XBRL accounts data, and semantic analysis of each company's public website. Revenue and headcount figures come from the most recent filed accounts; where the company has not filed, values are estimated using a model trained on filed history and peer benchmarks and are labelled as estimates.
Classification
Rather than relying solely on SIC codes, Firmbase classifies each company semantically: the company's website is crawled, an AI model reads what the company actually sells, and the company is placed into the relevant industry and subsectors. SIC codes are used as one signal but not the only one. This means a company that registered under a generic SIC code but pivoted into (for example) fintech is correctly identified as fintech, not as its original SIC category.
Freshness
The underlying company data is refreshed from Companies House continuously; filings appear in the list within days of submission. The curated list ordering is regenerated when the underlying data moves meaningfully (company count changes by more than 5%, a new company enters the top-ranked segment, or the filed-revenue numbers for the top firms change). You can see the last-updated timestamp near the top of the page.
