Logistics tech Companies in London: 100+ Active Firms (2026)
Logistics tech companies in London build software and data tools that optimise freight, fulfilment, routing and supply-chain operations.
Buying centres tend to sit with operations, supply-chain, finance and customer-service teams rather than with pure IT budget holders. The core buyers are mid-market merchants, freight brokers, fulfilment operators, wholesalers and asset-light logistics coordinators that need better visibility across orders, inventory, carriers and service levels. Engagements often begin around a defined workflow, such as routing, warehouse orchestration or shipment tracking, before expanding into adjacent planning and reporting use cases. Sales motions are mostly B2B and operationally led: buyers need evidence that a tool reduces manual coordination, exception handling or missed delivery commitments, not just another dashboard.
London has 172 actively trading logistics tech companies, making the capital a sizeable but still specialist part of the wider software and operations-technology market. Reported employment totals 1,441 people, which points to a cohort with many lean software teams alongside a smaller group of operators with implementation, support and network-management staff. Revenue scale is uneven: 17 firms report more than £5M in turnover, while 26 were incorporated since 2022. That mix gives researchers a useful split between early-commercial workflow tools and more mature platforms already selling into logistics buyers with recurring operational needs.
Regulatory exposure is usually indirect. Most firms sell tools into companies that already carry the obligations attached to freight movement, warehousing, import processes, driver management, customer communications and service-level reporting. That makes buyer diligence practical rather than purely legal: uptime, audit trails, permissions, integrations and exception records matter because logistics failures become contractual disputes quickly. Market structure also matters. Software vendors often have to fit around carriers, warehouse operators, couriers, marketplaces and enterprise resource-planning systems, so adoption can depend as much on partner access and operational workflow fit as on the software itself.
The London cohort appears likely to remain split between focused workflow software and broader operational platforms. Buyers tend to favour tools that reduce coordination effort across carriers, warehouses and customer-service teams, especially where existing processes still depend on email, spreadsheets and manual status checks. The harder part is expansion: logistics buyers can be cautious when software touches service promises, labour scheduling or customer notifications. Consolidation also appears plausible where point tools overlap, but niche products with clear operational ownership may keep finding room if they solve a specific handoff problem better than general software suites.

Key facts
About 9% of the trading cohort reports turnover above £5M (17 of 172 firms) — the rest sits below that revenue band.
15% of the cohort was incorporated since 2022 (26 firms), so a sizeable share is in its first few filing cycles.
London logistics tech vendors tend to sell into operating teams responsible for freight planning, fulfilment, routing and supply-chain visibility.
Buyer demand is usually tied to delivery performance, stock availability and working-capital control rather than discretionary software refresh cycles.
Procurement often depends on integration with warehouse, transport and commerce systems, which can lengthen sales cycles for smaller vendors.
The market mixes product-led, service-led and hybrid models, reflecting the operational complexity of logistics technology deployments.

How London logistics tech companies work and how to sell to them
What they do
Most logistics tech firms make money through B2B software subscriptions, often with set-up fees for integration, workflow design and training. Pricing commonly follows shipment volumes, users, sites, vehicles, carrier connections or warehouse locations, with usage charges added where the product handles tracking events, routing calls or document workflows. Products range from narrow applications for dispatch, fulfilment, customs administration and returns handling to platforms that coordinate several operational steps. Services revenue tends to sit around implementation and support rather than advisory work; buyers usually want software that becomes part of daily operating rhythm, not a consultancy-led redesign.
Who they sell to
The buyer is usually a supply-chain director, operations director, head of fulfilment, transport manager or finance owner with responsibility for cost-to-serve. Smaller merchants and brokers may enter through a self-serve trial or a narrow departmental subscription, while larger retailers, wholesalers and logistics providers tend to involve procurement, IT security and finance before signing. Sales cycles often depend on how many carrier, warehouse, order-management and accounting systems need to be connected. Most vendors sell direct, though partner-led routes matter where warehouse consultants, systems integrators or carrier networks influence which tools enter the operational stack.
What they buy
Spend tends to follow the operational demands of running a software business with integration-heavy customers. Most logistics tech firms buy cloud infrastructure, application monitoring, API management, data warehousing, information security, identity and access management, payment and billing tools, CRM, customer support software and product analytics. The more implementation-led firms also need professional services around accounting, commercial law, contract review, technical documentation and support hiring. Where products touch route planning, inventory or delivery notifications, they may also buy geospatial data, messaging infrastructure, data-quality tooling and testing environments that mirror the messy systems used by customers.
Why and how to sell to them
Commercial intent often shows up when a logistics tech firm wins larger customers, enters a new vertical, adds carrier or warehouse integrations, hires senior revenue or operations leadership, or has to support more demanding security reviews. Pain points tend to be integration backlog, slow onboarding, margin leakage in services-heavy implementations, noisy support queues and difficulty proving operational outcomes to buyers. Sellers usually need to connect their pitch to delivery reliability, implementation speed, auditability or lower manual coordination. Generic software-efficiency claims land less well than evidence that a supplier can reduce exceptions, shorten rollout work or help customer-facing teams explain service performance.
How this list is built
Data sources
This list is built from UK Companies House filings, XBRL accounts data, and semantic analysis of each company's public website. Revenue and headcount figures come from the most recent filed accounts; where the company has not filed, values are estimated using a model trained on filed history and peer benchmarks and are labelled as estimates.
Classification
Rather than relying solely on SIC codes, Firmbase classifies each company semantically: the company's website is crawled, an AI model reads what the company actually sells, and the company is placed into the relevant industry and subsectors. SIC codes are used as one signal but not the only one. This means a company that registered under a generic SIC code but pivoted into (for example) fintech is correctly identified as fintech, not as its original SIC category.
Freshness
The underlying company data is refreshed from Companies House continuously; filings appear in the list within days of submission. The curated list ordering is regenerated when the underlying data moves meaningfully (company count changes by more than 5%, a new company enters the top-ranked segment, or the filed-revenue numbers for the top firms change). You can see the last-updated timestamp near the top of the page.
